The Nigerian Army High Command has condemned the gruesome murder of two soldiers by members of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its militia arm known as the Eastern Security Network (ESN).
In a statement on Tuesday, Director Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, described the murder as callous and despicable.
The Army spokesperson said, “the killing of the security operatives in Imo shows that IPOB and ESN are perpetrating acts of terrorism in the Southeast”.
While promising to smoke out the killers, he urged the public to provide useful information to security agencies.
