The Congregation of Registered Freight Forwarding Practitioners Of Nigeria (CREFFPON), has concluded arrangement to tour all freight forwarding and logistics associations in the maritime sector.
CREFFPON said this through a press release made available to Daily Business Update, by Edwin Chukwudire, on behalf of the group.
He said that the familiarisation tour is in pursuance of its mandate for voluntary movement, aimed at salvaging its noble Profession.
He added, “the tour is important to strengthen the administration of its regulatory council towards attaining optimal regulations.
“The exercise would leave no stone unturned towards enthronement of professionalism in the freight forwarding sub- sector.
“CREFFPON has lined itinerary of visitation and mobilisation to freight forwarding Associations, critical stakeholders, groups, as well as selected individual practitioners.
“The tour scheduled for two weeks would bring to the fore professional issues mitigating against the well being of professionals, those choked and threatened, as well as the profession itself.
“First, the essence of this visitation is in recognition of vital roles each Association plays in the industry, hence its spread and networking towards achieving priorities. Secondly, it is a mark of respect, especially in reality of the fact that a tree does not make a forest in a huge industry like the maritime.
“Also, it is in the propagation of “an injury to one, is an injury to all”. Implying that, what affects one group, affects another.”
