Familiarisation tour: Comptroller Bello meets Emir of Bauchi
*Harps on greater collaboration to curb illicit trade

The new Customs Area Controller (CAC), Bauchi/Gombe Area Command of Nigeria Customs Service, Comptroller Bello Mohammed Jibo, has extended his familiarization tour to the Palace of the Emir of Bauchi.
Our correspondent learnt that during the visit, His Royal Highness, the Emir of Bauchi, Dr Rilwanu Sulaimanu Adamu, expressed appreciation for their initiative in recognizing his position, as he warmly received Comptroller Bello and his officers.
Speaking, Comptroller Jibo sought the cooperation of the Emir and his people at ensuring that his community understands the role of Customs officers as partners in progress.
The CAC explained that the Service is interested in the welfare of citizens and the growth of Nigeria’s economy as well.
Also, Comptroller Jibo pointed out the gains of border restrictions as signs and beginning of better days ahead. He urged the people to support Customs in its anti-smuggling drive.
The Emir and his people in the Palace showed appreciation for the visit, praying for the CAC and his men to have success in all their activities. The Emir also prayed for peace, unity and progress of the entire nation.
The high points of the visit were signing of visitors register by the CAC and group photograph taken in the Palace.
