Comptroller Musa:
The Tincan Island Port Command of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), has generated over N346billion in 2019 fiscal year.
The Command achieved N346billion revenue collection out of a target of N342billion given to the Command in 2019.
The Customs Area Controller (CAC), of the Command, Comptroller MBA Musa disclosed this to newsmen through the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Command, Mr.Uche Ejesieme.
He explained that the feats recorded in 2019 were made possible following practical measures put in place by Comptroller Musa to raise the tempo of revenue generation for the Federal Government, trade facilitation and anti-smuggling drive.
Such measures include creation of new operational blueprint, as well as templates by the CAC to enhance productivity in the Command.
The new templates, he said, guided officers and men of Tincan Command to work in tandem with the vision and mission of CGC Ali Hameed.
Within the same period, the Command made seizures of pharmaceutical products, foreign rice, tyres, vegetable oil and other banned items, with a Duty Paid Value, DPV, of over N5.9billion.
