Port security vital for investments inflow in maritime industry-Says NAGAFF Founder

The Founder, National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), Dr Boniface Aniebonam, has said that Nigeria needs adequate security at the Ports for investors to have confidence in the operating environment within the Ports.
This, he said will enhance more investments inflow into the country and in turn contributes tangibly to the growth of the maritime industry.
Dr Aniebonam made these assertions while receiving the new Commissioner of Police, Western Port Command, CP Cyril Okoro, on a working visit to NAGAFF head quarter in Apapa, Lagos.
Aniebonam said NAGAFF will continue to collaborate with the Command and give necessary support to ensure security within the Ports.
CP Okoro, who came with his management team, said NAGAFF is important stakeholder in the Port industry, adding that his visit became necessary in recognition of this fact.
Okoro in his brief remarks described the Port as the gate-way to the nation’s economy.
He expressed the willingness of his Command to ensure a stronger working synergy with NAGAFF and other stakeholders in the Ports, in order to ensure appropriate security measures.
The CP thanked NAGAFF for its enormous contributions to the growth of the Port industry in Nigeria.
That was not all. Another interesting part of the visit was the breaking of kolanut by NAGAFF in a friendly manner to thank the CP and his team.
