Apparently, Comptroller L E Oyama is bringing fresh impetus to bear at the Murtala Muhammed Area Command of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), as the new Customs Area Controller (CAC).
This was seen in the manner she addressed officers immediately after taking over leadership of the Command officially from Comptroller Jayne Shoboiki, on Wednesday 21 August 21, 2019.
Comptroller Oyama who had served Customs at various capacities, even at Investigation and discipline Units, promised to increase trade facilitation and synergy with relevant stakeholders for greater productivity at the Command.
Oyama commended the Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC) Ali Hameed, for his laudable achievements, while calling on officers under her watch to always apply the Customs 7-Cs, stay focused and draw boundaries at the best of time.
Comptroller Oyama joined the Service as an Assistant Superintendent of Customs 1 and rose through the ranks to Comptroller of Customs. She served in various Commands including Customs Headquarters Abuja.
Oyama also worked with Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
