FOU Customs records over N10 billion seizures
.Receives award for outstanding performance in anti-smuggling drive

The Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone ‘A’ of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), has recorded seizures with a Duty Paid Value (DPV) of over N10billion, in the first quarter of 2019 economic year.
The Unit also made impressive performance in its activities from January to March, 2019.
The Customs Area Controller (CAC), of FOU Zone ‘A’, Comptroller Mohammed Aliyu has been recognised for his exceptional performance in anti-smuggling, trade facilitation and revenue generation for government.
In that capacity, he was honoured with ‘Entrepreneurship Development Award’, at the just concluded ‘Anti-smuggling enlightenment workshop’, organised by Financial Business Group, in collaboration with Daily Business Update, at Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, to sensitise Nigerians on the dangers of smuggling to the nation’s economy.
Maritime stakeholders, Customs officers and manufacturers who attended the workshop, commended Comptroller Aliyu and his men for their operational efficiency on anti-smuggling within Zone ‘A’.
In his response, Comptroller Aliyu who has made mind boggling seizures, ranging from Military uniforms to bullet proof cars, hard drugs and many other items since he took over the Unit, pledged his total commitment to remain focused in enforcing government fiscal policies within the zone.
