Seme Customs calls for total compliance on border closure

The Seme Area Command of Nigeria Customs Service, (NCS) is calling on all Nigerians living within Seme Border, to stay away from any business that will take them across the border during Presidential Election tomorrow.
The Customs Area Controller (CAC), of Seme Command, Comptroller Mohammed Uba, gave this advice, saying Nigerians living within Seme should restrict their movement around the border in compliance with the directive by the Federal Government.
According to him, “This reminder to Nigerians is very vital, as our men are fully on ground and Seme Command must ensure total enforcement of this directive from government.”
He added, “Seme border has been closed since 12noon today, following the directive by government through the Ministry of Interior, that all land borders in Nigeria be closed from 12noon on Friday to 12noon on Sunday, to restrict movements across the borders during Presidential Election.
“We must always learn to do the right thing, at the right time. So, we are using this medium to appeal to Nigerians especially those within the border communities to take note of this directive and ensure total compliance, as we are carrying out strict enforcement of this order”.
