Apparently, Fortune Club International is blazing the trail in Nigeria’s education sector through its scholarship project, which is a programme initiated by the Club to assist indigent students in the country.
The Club pragmatically demonstrated its support to the education system by granting two Nigerian students full University scholarship to cover their academics from the first year till graduation.
The President of Fortune Club, Fortune Eyo Inuekin, along with other members presented the cheques to the students in a simple ceremony, organised by the Club at Surulere, Lagos.
Daily Business Update learnt that the two students who just got admission to study Pharmacy and Bio-chemistry in University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, came top in the scholarship screening exercise in which over 101 applications were received from schools in Lagos, Abuja, Kaduna, Cross River, Akwa Ibom and other States in Nigeria, within 30 days of advertisement.
The beneficiaries, Phillips Monday Effiong, admitted to study Bio-Chemistry and Emmanuel Umoh, Pharmacy, expressed great pleasure to the kind gesture extended to them by the Club, even as they promised to focus on their education, in order to ensure a better future.
