In effort to strengthen inter-agency collaboration, the Ogun Command of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), had a formal meeting with the Heads of traditional institutions residing within Idiroko border.
According to the Public Relations Officer (PRO), of Ogun Customs, Mr. Maiwada A. A, the meeting was initiated by the Customs Area Controller (CAC) of Ogun Command, Comptroller Agbara Ojobo Michael, to foster a better working relationship with Heads of traditional rulers in the area.
The PRO explained that the meeting became necessary to further strengthen the working synergy between traditional rulers of the host communities at Idiroko, the border between Nigeria and Republic of Benin, where the Command operates.
In the same vein, the meeting provided a good platform for Ogun Customs and traditional rulers at Idiroko communities to brainstorm on vital issues concerning better ways to improve Customs community relations at Idiroko.
The PRO also said that the meeting was a fruitful exercise, as the CAC promised to make it a quarterly programme.
