Seme Customs visits Nigerian Airforce on familiarisation tour

Comptroller Uba at 121 Forward Operations Base on working visit:
In his continuous efforts to ensure effective border security for more revenue generation for government, the Customs Area Controller (CAC), Seme Area Command of Nigeria Customs Service, Comptroller Mohammed Uba, has visited Nigerian Airforce, 121 Forward Operations Base, Owode.
Comptroller Uba who was at the Airforce Base, as part of his familiarisation tour, went in company of senior Customs officers of Seme Area Command.
Business Update gathered that Uba’s visit to 121 Forward Operations Base, on familiarisation tour has shown his commitment in effective inter-agency collaboration, as he has equally visited numerous security agencies within a short period he took over Seme Command.
Comptroller Uba explained that effective working synergy is important in carrying out anti-smuggling operations, especially at a very busy border like Seme.
His words, “Our duties include revenue generation for government, trade facilitation and anti-smuggling operations. For us to carry out these functions effectively, inter-agency collaboration is of vital importance”.
