CGC Ali lauds Comptroller Shoboiki for remarkable performance

Comptroller Shoboiki receiving her commendation letter from ACG Dahiru:
The Customs Area Controller (CAC) of Murtala Mohammed Area Command (MMAC), Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Comptroller Jayne Shoboiki (PhD), has received a commendation letter from the Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC), Ali Hameed for remarkable performance in 2018 economic year.
The Zonal Co-odinator, Zone ‘A’ headquarters, Lagos, ACG Dahiru Aminu, who presented the letter to her, during his visit to the Command yesterday, stressed that Shoboiki has made so much impact in the Command within a short period.
ACG Dahiru who also addressed officers of the Command during the visit, described Comptroller Shoboiki as a Customs officer who believes in doing things the right way, at the right time.
He enthused, “Her leadership style is different from others because she believes in making positive changes to the benefit of the Service and the economy at large”.

The ACG went on, “Shoboiki is intelligent officer and highly experienced in the job. She has served in the Service at various capacities before becoming the first female CAC of this Command.
“I have known Comptroller Shoboiki as a very hard working officer when she was at Tincan Command, and even while she was in Customs Intelligence Unit (CIU). She is really committed to her duties.”
He continued, “CGC Ali Hameed believes so much in merit, therefore, all officers should be ready to embrace hard work and selfless service irrespective of the units they are. That is the reason I keep telling officers, as well as stakeholders at every Command I visit, to support any CAC who is able to bring positive changes, because this is what we need to move the Service forward.”
The words of ACG Dahiru, as he handed over the commendation letter to Comptroller Shoboiki, “Some people may see you as being tough or strict, but to me, you are hard working and focused”.
On her response, Comptroller Shoboiki expressed greater pleasure for the commendation letter and promised to do more in the Service.
Speaking further, she revealed that the Command has generated over N4billion in July 2018, alone.
She thanked CGC Ali and his management team for repositioning the Service for greater productivity, calling on all officers at MMAC to double their efforts in carrying out their statutory duties of revenue generation for government, trade facilitation and anti-smuggling activities.
