Ogun Customs battle ready… as smugglers attack officer

Just few weeks after an officer with Ogun Customs Command was violently attacked by the dare devil smugglers operating within Idiroko axis, comes another deadly attack on an Inspector of Customs attached to the same Command.
The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Ogun Customs Command, Maiwada A,A, said, “On Saturday July 7, 2018, by 09:00 hours,the officers and men of Ogun Customs Command received yet another hostility from criminals and economic saboteurs. They succeeded in abducting and inflicting life threatening injuries on an Inspector of Customs, Abdullahi Mohammad Kuso, attached to Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Ogun Command”.
He added, “The smugglers also destroyed the Customs base located at Papalanto axis, close to Lafarge Cement Company, setting the whole base ablaze. But the victim was later rescued by other officers of the Command.”
According to the PRO, “Full scale investigation is on- going to fish out those who perpetrated this barbaric and cruel act on an officer while on duty.”
His warning to smugglers, “Ogun Command will not relent in bringing to book economic saboteurs and criminals who often violently engage officers at various approved duty posts, to the extent of inflicting injuries on them, destroying government properties and constituting nuisance in the society”.
