Osun governor honours Comptroller Odibu
.Business Update Gives Award of Excellent Performance

Comptroller Odibu receiving the Award of Excellent Performance, in company of top officers of the Command:
The Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola. has honoured the Customs Area Controller ,CAC, of Oyo/Osun Command of Nigeria Customs Service ,NCS, Comptroller Odibu Christopher, for outstanding performance within the short period he took over the Command.
Speaking while presenting the ‘Award plaque with inscription of ‘Osun Anthem’ to the CAC, Aregbesola commended Comptroller Odibu and the entire officers of Oyo/Osun Customs for their effort in curtailing smuggling within that region
The governor expressed satisfaction on the performance of Oyo/Osun Command in the first quarter of 2018, stressing that the experience and skills brought to bear by Comptroller Odibu and his team will check illicit trade in the region, while paving the way for legitimate trade, as well as economic activities capable of enhancing growth in the area to thrive.

In the same vein, the Managing Editor of ‘Business Update.com.ng’, Mr. Silas Onuoha, bestowed on Comptroller Odibu, the prestigious ‘Award of Excellent Performance’.
Speaking while presenting the Award to Comptroller Odibu and his team,, Mr. Onouha explained that the Award is an honour well deserved, considering the efforts of the Command in curbing smuggling within a large territory of Oyo/Osun.
Mr. Onuoha said, “The Award of ‘Excellent Performance’, is a yearly honour often given to deserving Customs Commands, Maritime agencies and parastatals for outstanding performance in the sector. The criteria for giving such Award is based strictly on merit of remarkable performance, as well as tangible contributions to the maritime sector and the economy at large”.
He pointed out, “We often visit the organisations and go through their records to ascertain their level of performance before honouring them. So, a lot of work and thorough assessment are carried out before giving the Award”.
His words, “We see this honour as a way of encouraging hard work. We must begin to recognise hard work, for people to toe the line of hard work and selfless service to the country”.
